CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Our hub and spoke model for our metal recycling is also applied to methodology to support resource recovery on any given energy project in any location. Working with our closest metal branch and working in with local circular economy recycling businesses (glass, timber, concrete, plastics, horticulture etc) - closest to the site we ensure carbon emissions from transportation are kept to a minimum. This also supports local businesses within the area working in the resource recovery/ circular economy space.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROCEDURES

RISK PROCEDURES

Different organisations typically follow specific procedures for managing their unique environmental risks. We incorporate each organisation’s own environmental risk procedures into our own stringent risk management procedures.

RISK REGISTER

We begin any project by first identifying hazards through a Risk Register Assessment. This is developed in conjunction with our client to ensure any additional health and safety procedures at an organisation level are also included in the Register. Daily Hazard ID forms are produced every day and we have an onsite diary.

Job Safety Analysis & Reporting

Paperwork is produced around methodologies, along with Job Safety Analysis Sheets. All risks associated with a project are listed in detail, along with any associated risks relating to the actual work being undertaken.

Environmental Risk

We take environmental risk extremely seriously, from the initial onsite work, to post-decommission and disposal of materials. We make sure decommissioned products are disposed of in an environmentally responsible way.

MSD FORMS

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSD forms) also form part of our extensive job packs. Every day we have a site meeting before we start the job, where we list all hazards and tick every box. We make sure that JSAs have been read by every person in the work party and that every person involved in the project has a full and clear understanding of all health and safety requirements.

Photographic Evidence Provided

Photos are taken before and after site decommissioning and included in the job folder.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT US

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Phoenix for the professional approach from the team, demonstrated when arranging the disassembly, collection, and removal of our redundant transformer units at Gore Substation. I was most impressed with the attention given towards detailed planning which ensured that the lift and removal went seamlessly and in-line with Transpower regulations and standards. The lift plan provided and the allocation of tasks to those working onsite, was thorough and included all necessary detail to ensure safety throughout. Well done! Feedback from my Service Provider onsite, reiterates my comments above. Your contractors worked well alongside mine and raised queries and sought confirmation when needed. This displayed excellent situational awareness and a willing to do the job to the highest possible standard. Thank you again for you and your teams professionalism displayed. I look forward to working alongside again on future projects.
